| I'm terrible, aren't I?
Life's been pretty good, actually! Shall we have some updates?
-The Princess and the Frog's only a couple of weeks away now, and the excitement's really building up! I can't wait to see Tiana's Showboat Jubilee in Disneyland. It's already premiered, but my mom and I were too late to see the last showing when we went on Sunday. Oh well. It's not too bad, we're going on Thanksgiving again anyway! xD
-Speaking of Disneyland, it's all done up for Christmas now! It's really nice, but I think it's going to be maybe a couple of weeks until I'm really in the Christmas spirit. It feels a bit too early, but I still can't wait! (Btw, Christmas fireworks canceled because of high winds. Fantasmic was still good, though!)
-My mom's birthday is on Friday. We went to Benihana's today to celebrate. It was quite an experience! I now know why Mom likes that place so much. Oh yeah, and we're going to El Torito's on Friday. To celebrate. Again. Why yes, I was shocked! But apparently it was my dad's idea. After the initial O.o, I figured hey, I'm going to get to enjoy my one true love the Deep Fried Ice Cream again!
-I won't tell all of the details about this , but most of today involved a math test and the fact that I am SO GLAD I'm homeschooled. Let's just leave it it at that. xD
-Writing's been going well, actually. STILL on Chapter 14 of LAL and FINALLY got a beta. The wonderfully awesome Sprinklemist is gonna help me with this mess of a story. Y'know, I've been meaning to do that, but I put it off until around the beginning of the month, when I had a sort of writer's mental breakdown and nearly said "Screw it, LAL will never be finished", but what the heck kind of attitude is that? I ended up breaking down and making a blog post on my favorite fanfiction community. LAL needs to be finished, and then I'll decide whether I'm off fanfiction forever or not. Heck, maybe I'll even go back to thinking about those book plots swirling around in my head. Whatever, though. Until it's over, LAL is my number one concern when it comes to writing now.
-Speaking of LAL, I made a cover art for it! And people seem to actually like it, too. :D I think I'll try posting it to the Total Drama Island LJ community. I'm not sure if I've actually posted LAL on there. I think I may have, but I'll have to check. I took a picture of a regular kitchen knife dipped in fake blood from Halloween, scanned it on to my computer, printed it out, traced over it using a flashlight, scanned it back on to my computer, colored in the blood with ArtRage, and added in the text with GIMP! Easy, huh? xD I actually spent a lot of last weekend on it, and I'm actually pretty happy with it!
-I think I'll go read some horrible fanfiction to make myself feel better about my own writing skills. xD
So, to end this blog post, I will say:
UP LOOKS FREAKING AWESOME ON THE BLU-RAY.
And that is a fact.
Later lovelies,
Gigi

| -I'm now officially addicted to Star Trek. Reading hilarious ST fanfiction will no doubt soon become my favorite past time. No, I will not be attending Star Trek conventions. Ever. I don't want to be labeled a complete nerd. xD -Skillet's new album is awesome! :D Awake and Alive has to be my favorite song from the new album, with Rebirthing being my all time favorite song in general. Hero, Monster, and Lucy are also fantastic. I just love the piano used in Lucy. ♥ -Went to Magic Mountain a couple weeks ago. It was loads of fun. Rode the Revolution, Viper, the raft ride, Tatsu, the log ride, Scream, Batman, Riddler, Atom Smasher, that ride that spins you around a lot in Gotham City, Superman, Goliath, Colossus, and X2. X2 was freaking insane. I'd been pretty calm all day, but that ride just made me lose it. Completely. It was awesome! -Going to DL with my BFF on Sunday! -I've been invited to sing in my church band! I've wanted this for so long, and at the Church's anniversary celebration, the pastor called me over and told me I should do it! My parents talked it over, and now I'm in! I start next week! :D -9 was pretty cool. I think that maybe they could've tried a bit harder, but the animation and the dark storyline were still really awesome. It also seemed kinda short to me, but animated movies aren't that long anyway. Definitely one to add to the DVD collection. -School's going well so far. I'm kind of glad to be doing all of my lessons online, since I can go look up my current grade anytime I want to. I want to maintain As in all of my classes this year, and it looks like I'm doing just that! :) -There have been a lot of new videos and clips put up for the Princess and the Frog lately! I'm super excited for this movie now. On Disney.com's homepage, you can see a clip that talks just about Tiana herself. She looks like such a strong, independent woman, and that's really what little girls need these days. Making her a Disney Princess, a group that's always been popular with little girls, is a very smart idea. The animation is just spectacular, too. It doesn't look like computer's have had anything to do with this movie so far, which is a real breath of fresh air, especially for us Disney fans. I really, really want to do to the Walt Disney Studios opening, but its going to take a lot of begging to my parents and offering to pay for myself on my part. I'm ready to take the challenge, though! -I wonder, will getting an eBook reader allow me to download my favorite fanfics, convert them into ebooks, and then read them whenever I want? If so, I know what I want for Christmas this year!
Gotta go!
Later lovelies,

| Well, I have a few minutes before I'm going to bed, so let me just say that this was a GREAT summer vacation, all things considered. Six Flags and Disneyland and Knotts and all of the other stuff I did was awesome. I wish I had more time to describe all of the awesome things that happened, but I'll do that later. Now, all of those wonderful events are just memories, and I'm really going to miss Summer '09
HOWEVER, I'm looking forward to a great school year and can't wait to get started on my new classes. I promise I'll try to update as often as possible, and although summer is now over, there are still other fun things to look forward to this year! I wish you all the best of luck in your studies and whatever goals you might trying to reach!
Peace everyone,
Gigi

| ..... JUST NO. If you don't know what in the hell I'm talking about, does the picture above look familiar to you? No? Think. Think hard. If you don't know, this is an actual movie produced by the infamous Video Brinquedo, a Brazilian animation studio that's been responsible for many ripoffs in the past. Some of their abominatons include: The Little Cars (*eyeroll*), The Little Panda Fighter (shoot me), The Little Bee (make it end!), and Gladiformers (Micheal Bay will not be pleased...). What's Up: Balloon to the Rescue will be released on DVD on August 11th at a Wal-Mart near you! .......... *sigh* ...Am I a bad person for wanting to strangle something right now? I knew that it wouldn't be long before these morons came up with another horrible knockoff, and to tell you guys the truth, I can't WAIT till this gets around Youtube like The Little Cars and Ratatoing did. I could go on and make a long speech about how it's amazing that these idiots are still making money off of these awful films and how it's even more amazing that Disney or whoever else they ripped off hasn't sued these people yet, but I'm tired. Very much so. Also, if you've never heard of the movies I've mentioned above, just search them up. If you find the trailers for these crapfests pathetically humorous or even just pathetic, then you will **love** the comments. That is all. Later, lovelies, Gigi (P.S. I'm serious about the Wal-Mart thing.) EDIT: Okay, so I gave Video Brinquedo too much credit. It's weird, after a little digging I found that Amazon.com credits this to "Good Times Entertainment", which is another Brazilian company and has apparently been sued by Disney for copyright issues before. Wal-Mart credits this movie to "Gaiam" which owns "Good Times Entertainment" after it filed for bankruptcy. This is where I first found it. So, it turns out that this is NOT Video Brinquedo's doing. Sorry, my bad. Here's the summary of the actual plot of the movie for those who are interested: "Packed with magic and eye-popping animation, "What's Up Balloon To The Rescue!" takes off with a bang when the brilliant, but befuddled Dr. Crumb discovers a magical stone that turns his house into a hot air balloon. The discovery allows Crumb - and his trusted brainiac companions - to pursue a heroic career of monster-chasing. But soon, the criminal-minded Jean-Pierre hatches a particularly diabolical plan which sends this airborne voyage into a new level of turbulence! Without the magic stone, will the scientists crash land, or will they be able to save the world by using their own ingenuity? "What's Up Balloon To The Rescue!" is a gravity-defying adventure for the entire family."

And now I shall commence watching the Original Series, and hopefully stay interested enough to watch it all the way through! =D
Later, lovelies!
